Top Account's 2003 fee will be $3,000. He is expected to arrive in New York sometime this week.
Top Account will stand the 2003 season at Michael and Debra Lischin's Dutchess Views Farm near Pine Plains, N.Y. He previously stood at Bridlewood Farm near Ocala, Fla. Florida-based Briggs and Cromartie Bloodstock previously managed the stallion's syndicate, and will continue to do so, but decided since the stallion's biggest wins were in New York (he won the 1995 King's Bishop Stakes, grade II, at Saratoga) and he is bred similarly to Personal Flag, who is currently the fifth on the leading sire list in New York. Like Top Account, Personal Flag is by Private Account and out of a Hoist the Flag mare. The Lischin's currently do not own any shares in Top Account. Top Account (Private Account--Up the Flagpole, by Hoist the Flag) is a half-sibling to six stakes winners. William S. Farish bred the horse and raced him with his aunt, Martha Gerry. Top Account earned $466,819. He has four crops of foals, one stakes winner, and one stakes-placed horse.
