Decarchy, White Heart and Freedom Crest, three major stakes winners who all went to the sidelines this spring, are ready to launch comebacks Sunday in the $70,000-added Steinlen Handicap at 1 1/16 miles on turf.The Steinlen serves as a prep for the $500,000 Citation Handicap (gr. IIT) at the same distance Nov. 30.Decarchy, a 5-year-old Juddmonte Farms horse out of the Blue Hen mare Toussaud, suffered a splint injury after a runner-up finish in the San Francisco Mile at Bay Meadows April 27. He won the Kilroe Mile at Santa Anita in his previous outing for trainer Bobby Frankel.White Heart will make his first start since a fourth-place finish May 4 in Churchill Downs' Woodford Reserve Stakes, in which he was kicked in a leg by another horse. The 7-year-old gelding won the Charlie Whittingham Handicap (gr. I) at hollywood in 2001 for trainer Neil Drysdale.Freedom Crest, a 6-year-old gelding, last raced in the Lone Star Park Handicap in Texas May 27 when he faded to sixth and bled. He won the Goodwood Handicap (gr. II) last year for trainer Richard Baltas.Another interesting probable is Futural, who was scheduled to ship south today from Chuck Peery's barn and be stabled with Jack Van Berg. The 6-year-old gelding is best remembered for finishing first in the 2001 Hollywood Gold Cup (gr. I) but being disqualified to third for interference. He most recently finished second in the Premier Handicap at Hastings Park in British Columbia October 20.
