Water Music, a 4-year-old daughter of Danzig in foal to 2001 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Monarchos, topped the fourth session of the Keeneland November breeding stock sale on Thursday after earning a final bid of $420,000 from Glen Sikura.Consigned by Anderson Farms, agent for Sam-Son Farm, Water Music is out of the Seattle Slew mare Classic Slew, who is a half sister to champion Sky Classic and Canadian champions Regal Classic, Grey Classic, and Classy 'N Smart.Water Music earned $43,425 in three seasons of racing and was unplaced in two starts this year. She is in foal from a June 12 cover.The highest-priced weanling was a colt from the first crop of High Yield purchased for $290,000. Gerry Dilger, owner of Dromoland Farm near Lexington, signed the ticket in the name of Belvedere Inv., whom Dilger declined to identify. Consigned by Lakland LLC, agent, the bay colt is out of the Grade 3-placed Copelan mare Profit System, who has produced four winners from four foals to race.For the session, a total of 253 horses were sold for gross receipts of $15,992,700. Average was $63,212 and median was $45,000. At last year's corresponding session, 225 horses grossed $12,725,100 for an average of $56,556 and a median of $40,000. Through the first four days of the 10-day sale, a total of 866 horses have grossed $150,936,700 for an average of $174,292 and a median of $83,500. Through the opening four sessions last year, a total of 787 horses were sold for total receipts of $142,420,600. Average was $180,866 and median was $80,000.
