Golden Gear, Cloud Hopping to DunHill in Florida

Grade II winner Golden Gear and 5-year-old Cloud Hopping will stand the 2003 season at DunHill Stud near Reddick, Fla. The two stallions formerly stood at Sean and Barbara Kelly's Wycombe House Stud near Reddick.

Golden Gear, an 11-year-old son of Gulch out of the Lypheor mare Fineza, has sired three stakes winners, including last year's Canadian champion Ginger Gold and 2002 graded winner Mr. John. Golden Gear won seven stakes during a career in which he captured a dozen of 26 starts and earned $634,009. He is owned by Barry Golden and Morven Stud and will stand for $4,000 live foal.

Cloud Hopping will stand for $3,500 live foal. The son of Mr. Prospector is a half-brother to millionaire and grade I winner Skimming, and his dam, Skimble (by Lypheor), is a grade II winner. His first foals arrive next year.
