Robert and Beverly Lewis' Composure, winner of the Oak Leaf Stakes (gr. II) and runner-up to Storm Flag Flying in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I), figures to be a heavy favorite in the Hollywood Starlet (gr. I) for 2-year-old fillies at 1 1/16 miles Dec. 14."She's been doing great," said trainer Bob Baffert, seeking his second consecutive Starlet victory and third in five years. "She worked (at Santa Anita) Monday, and I will probably give her one more easy work before the race. I was disappointed she didn't win the Breeders' Cup. I think she lacked one more race." Mike Smith again has the call.
Baffert said there was also a possibility he would run The Thoroughbred Corporation's Atlantic Ocean, winner of the Miesque Stakes (gr. IIIT) on turf here Nov. 29, in the Starlet. "I'm just leaving the door open that she might come back in there," said Baffert. "She can run on dirt as well. She should get better with age."Other probable starters include Summer Wind Dancer, Rmisvesta and Watching You.
