Turf Publicists Elect Blanco President

The Turf Publicists of America (TPA) announced today the organization's newly elected officers following the Mark Kaufman Workshop at the University of Arizona Symposium on Racing.

Michele Blanco, director of publicity at Calder Race Course and currently the vice president/eastern region, was elected president. Blanco will be joined on the board by NTRA director of communications Eric Wing, Daily Racing Formvice president of marketing Mandy Minger, Emerald Downs director of marketing Susie Sourwine, Arlington Park communications manager Dave Zenner, and NYRA website administrator Bruno Zalubil.

Zalubil was re-elected as secretary-treasurer. Wing, currently the vice president-at-large, was elected as vice president/eastern region. Minger, Sourwine, and Zenner are all new officers and they will serve as vice president-at-large, vice president/western region and vice president/central region, respectively.

The president and secretary-treasurer serve two-year terms and the vice presidents are elected for one year.

The TPA is an organization comprised of publicity, public relations and marketing professionals for Thoroughbred racetracks in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
