Bullet Work for Domestic Dispute

Santa Catalina Stakes (gr. III) winner Domestic Dispute, gearing up for his next start in the Mar. 16 San Felipe Stakes (gr. II), worked a bullet seven furlongs in 1:24 1/5 handily over a fast main track at Santa Anita Sunday.

Dana Barnes was aboard the son of Unbridled's Song for the move, which was the fastest of the six horses who worked seven panels on the day.

"He's doing good and he worked good," trainer Bob Baffert said of the Gary Garber colorbearer.

Baffert also worked Fair Grounds Oaks (gr. III) hopeful Atlantic Ocean, who logged six furlongs in 1:11 handily. It was the second-fastest time of the 31 who went the distance. The daughter of Stormy Atlantic is to ship to New Orleans on Wednesday with stablemate Kafwain, who is expected to be favored when he heads postward in Sunday's $750,000 Louisiana Derby (gr. II). Kafwain is expected to get his final pre-Louisiana Derby tun-up in the next day or two.

Multiple Grade I-winning millionaire General Challenge continued down the comeback trail with a five-furlong work in :59 4/5 handily. The 7-year-old gelding last raced in the 2000 Pacific Classic (gr. I) at Del Mar.

"He's a ways away from a race," Baffert indicated following the big chestnut's breeze.
