Roar Emotion Heads Cicada Stakes Field

Joseph Allen's Roar Emotion, winner of the Demoiselle Stakes (gr. II) at Aqueduct on Nov. 30, heads a field of six entered for Saturday's $100,000 Cicada Stakes (gr. III) for 3-year-old filles at the Big A.

Jockey Richard Migiore takes over for John Velazquez on Roar Emotion for trainer Jose Martin in the seven-furlong Cicada.

The daughter of Roar dictated the pace and went on to an easy two-length victory in the 1 1/8-mile Demoiselle.

She'll likely have to vie with Cyber Secret for control of the pace Saturday. The winner of the Busanda Stakes in gate to wire style on Jan. 26 at Aqueduct, the Florida-bred filly by Cyberspace disappointed in the Busher Stakes on March 1 after losing the lead in the stretch and finishing off the board

Rick Dutrow trains Cyber Secret for the ownership syndicate of Sanford Goldfarb, Irwin Goldfarb and Team Julep.

Charlotte C. Polin's Ladyecho, who rallied from off the pace to win the six-furlong Dearly Precious at Aqueduct on Feb. 15, could benefit from a hot early speed duel. The daughter of Alphabet Soup ran down Lizzy Cool, who had a 5 1/2-length lead in the stretch. She and Cyber Secret each carry top weight of 122 pounds.

The Gregory Martin-trained Leniently adds blinkers Saturday.
