Jenny Wiley Boasts Strong Contenders

A field full of quality fillies and mares goes postward in Keeneland's $100,000 Jenny Wiley Stakes (gr. IIIT) Sunday over 8 1/2 grassy furlongs. Ten distaffers will face the starter.

Quick Tip will get action off her victory in the Bayou Breeders' Cup Handicap, in which she defeated Jenny Wiley starters Histoire Sainte and Snow Dance. She also took honors in the Cardinal Handicap at Churchill Downs last November. She runs for W.S. Farish.

Amonita, conditioned by Christophe Clement, races off a strong victory in the Suwanee River Handicap at Gulfstream in March. Another grass trainer extraordinaire, Bobby Frankel, sends forth Sea of Showers, who will make her U.S. stakes debut after a pair of allowance scores in California.

John Oxley's Snow Dance was favored in last year's Wiley, managing a second. She also hit the board in the WinStar Galaxy Handicap and the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup.
