Keeneland Drops Early Wager Cutoff

(from track report)
Effective April 12, Keeneland will return to its former policy of closing wagering when the gates open at the start of a race. The decision was made after Keeneland officials consulted with officials from the Kentucky Racing Commission.

"After discussing the situation with the Kentucky Racing Commission, the tote companies, as well as other tracks, we felt it was the right decision," said Keeneland President Nick Nicholson.
