"The Works," will once again highlight the TVG pre-race coverage of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks, both grade I. The series of eight half-hour shows will air at 11:30 a.m. (EST) beginning April 24 and continuing through May 1. The shows will be replayed each evening and prior to the following morning's telecasts.
In addition, national distribution of "The Works" has been expanded this year to include either live or tape coverage (check local listings) on three major Fox Regional Sports Networks: Fox Sports NY, Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Net 2.
Hosted from Churchill Downs by Caton Bredar with analyst Frank Lyons, correspondent Jeff Lifson, trainer Tom Amoss, and reporter Jeannine Edwards, "The Works" will offer same day coverage of morning workouts of horses expected to start in both the Oaks and Derby.
In addition to the workouts, the program will also present interviews with owners, trainers, jockeys and other horseracing figures, as well as timely news and features about this year's races.
In its latest expansion, TVG is now being carried on select Adelphia cable systems in Ohio, specifically in the Cleveland market, and by additional Cox cable systems in and around Baton Rouge, LA.
