The Maryland Jockey Club announced today it will offer a wager on the two races, to be run May 16 and 17. It is similar in nature to the Daily Double Churchill Downs offers on the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) and Kentucky Derby (gr. I).
"Now two of Maryland's biggest races will be linked," said Lou Raffetto, Maryland Jockey Club chief operating officer. "Adding the Special to the festivities on Black-Eyed Susan Day makes it another must day in an extraordinary week."
