Fair Mix, a 5-year-old bought out of a claiming race, shrugged off his humble background to win Sunday's Group I Prix Ganay at Longchamp.Ridden by Olivier Peslier and trained by Marcel Rolland, the gray son of Linamix shook loose midway through the straight to finish 2 1/2 lengths ahead of John Hammond's fast-finishing Execute.Japan Cup winner Falbrav, in his first start for trainer Luca Cumani, also rallied from well back and finished a short head behind Execute in third.
