Storming Home and Ballingarry, a pair of group I winners targeted for the $400,000 Jim Murray Handicap at 1 1/2 mile on turf May 10, worked on the Hollywood Park grass Sunday.

Storming Home, a 5-year-old horse who joined the Neil Drysdale stable this year, worked seven furlongs in 1:29.60 for his United States debut – to the satisfaction of Drysdale.

An English-bred son of Machiavellian, Storming Home won the Group I Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket in September, defeating Moon Ballad and Noverre. A homebred owned by Gainsborough Stud's Sheikh Maktoum al Maktoum, Storming Home has won five of 19 starts and earned $886,704.

Ballingarry, winner of the Group I Canadian International Championship at Woodbine in October, worked five furlongs in 1:00 under Kent Desormeaux for Jeff Ford, assistant to trainer Laura de Seroux.

"I wasn't crazy about going that fast, but another horse broke in on us," said de Seroux from San Luis Rey Downs.

Other leading candidates for the Jim Murray include The Tin Man.
