Wagering Friday on Kentucky Oaks Day was up both on and off track, Churchill Downs officials announced.The wagering at the historic track on the 11-race card was $11,251,063, an increase of 2.9% from a year ago. The total wagering was $30,895,718, which was 8.16% more than the amount bet in 2002.For the fifth straight year, attendance was over 100,000, though it just barely topped that mark. The announced attendance was 100,523. The crowd was the fifth highest Oaks attendace. The top mark is the 106,156 that attended in 2000.
