Edmund Gann's You was one of the top 3-year-old fillies last year, especially at races at a mile and under. After capturing a memorable photo in Saratoga's Test Stakes last summer, Frankel stretched out You to run in races like the Alabama, Ruffian and Spinster. While You ran well in all three spots, she did not come away with a victory. Her final start at 3 was a disappointing fifth as the 4-5 favorite going seven furlongs in the Grade 1 La Brea at Santa Anita. As a 4-year-old, You has made two starts. Second behind Starrer in her seasonal debut, she rebounded and easily defeated four rivals as the 1-5 favorite in the Grade 2 Louisville Breeders' Cup."I think Starrer has gotten pretty good and she likes the track at Santa Anita," Frankel said. "It's hard to judge if You is really back on her game because she beat a real easy bunch in there (Louisville Breeders' Cup) last time."Frankel's other starter, Sumaya US Stable's Chilean-bred Wild Spirit, will be making her first start outside of Chile. In her native country she went 6-for-10 with just over $100,000 in earnings. She has won multiple Group 1 races in Chile from a mile to a mile and a quarter, but Frankel is not sure the one-mile Shuvee distance fits her best."She's training really well and she looks very good," Frankel said. "Hopefully she runs like she trains."Edward Evans' Raging Fever, second in the Shuvee last year, comes off a victory in the Bed o' Roses Breeders' Cup where she defeated Smok'n Frolic and Nonsuch Bay. Raging Fever was able to get away with an easy lead last time. With or without an easy lead, Raging Fever almost always runs well.
"She's very versatile," Hennig said. "You can rate her, but if there's not a whole lot of speed in the race, that's advantageous for her."Raging Fever loves Belmont Park and is 5-2-0 from eight starts here."All of her Grade 1 wins have come here at Belmont," Hennig said. "This race and the Ogden Phipps, which she won last year, are a couple of targets to keep in mind."The field for Saturday's Grade 2, $200,000 Shuvee Handicap:1. You, Shaun Bridgmohan, 120
