Storm Passage (Storm Cat--Terre Haute, by Caro) finished third in the Bashford Manor Stakes (gr. II) at Churchill Downs as a 2-year-old in his second start after winning his debut at the Louisville track. He was retired with two wins from a dozen starts and earnings of $57,869. Four-year-old Storm Passage will begin his stallion career next year as the property of the Montgomerys. A fee will be announced later.
Grade II stakes-placed Storm Passage, a full brother to grade I winner and young sire Tactical Cat, will enter stud at Jay Adcock's Red River Farms near Coushatta, La., as the property of Dr. Natalie Montgomery and her husband, Jim. The couple privately bought Storm Passage in training after he was claimed last November from his breeder, William T. Young's Overbrook Farm.
