Ignored Indian Creek Rallies in Hardwicke

Jockey Richard Quinn brought Indian Creek from last to get up in the final 100 yards of Saturday's Hardwicke Stakes (Eng-II) at Royal Ascot.

The David Elsworth-trained 5-year-old son of Indian Ridge was niggled along to keep touch with the field of nine all the way to the short straight of the 1 1/2-mile Hardwicke.

But the British bred came flying on the outside to tag Bollin Eric by a neck at odds of 14-1. Zindabad was three lengths behind in third with Bandari fourth. Highest, favored at 5-2, finished fifth.

Bollin Eric, rated in fifth on the inside, switched off the hedge and got to the lead 1 1/2 furlongs from home and battled Indian Creek to the wire.
