Green Fee Back at Favorite Course for Poker

Robert and Lawana Low's Green Fee loves to run at one mile over Belmont Park's Widener turf course. He won two of three starts under those conditions last year, including the Grade 2 Kelso Handicap.

After a fifth-place run in the Breeders' Cup Mile and two off-the-board finishes earlier this year, Green Fee returns in the Grade 3, $100,000 Poker Handicap at one mile on the Widener.

War Zone, owned by Juddmonte Farms, ran fifth against much tougher rivals in his last start, the Grade 1 Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile at Hollywood May 26th. In his only other start for trainer Bobby Frankel, he won a $65,000 allowance down the hill at Santa Anita March 28th.

Dogwood Stable's Finality has not run since winning the Grade 2 Jamaica last fall. A tendon injury led to all that time off. Finality may need a race before hitting his best stride as an allowance prep he was being pointed for did not go.

The Maktoum family has entered three runners for the Poker: Aslaaf, Equerry and Trademark. Equerry has lost five straight after winning his first five starts in France. Trademark lost to international superstar Ipi Tombe twice at Nad Al Sheba.
