It was at this sale two years ago that Melnyk bought Strong Hope for seven figures. The Grand Slam colt won the Jim Dandy Stakes (gr. Indy consigned by Eaton Sales, agent, sold for $650,000. Out of Lady Lochinvar, a full sister to graded stake winner La Gueriere, was purchased by Buzz Chace, agent for Aaron and Marie Jones.
