Finality Retired After Reinjuring a Tendon

Grade II winner Finality has been retired after re-injuring his left front tendon in the Aug. 23 Fourstardave Handicap (gr. IIT) at Saratoga. Todd Pletcher trained the son of Dehere for Dogwood Stable. Finality's biggest win came in last year's Jamaica Handicap (gr. IIT). On Aug. 8 Finality won the West Point Handicap at Saratoga.

"We are shipping him to Dr. Robert Copelan in Lexington for his final examination, but we are reluctant to bring him back from a re-injury of this magnitude," said Dogwood president Cot Campbell. Stallion plans for Finality are still undecided.

Albert Fried Jr. bred Finality in New York and consigned him to the Saratoga August yearling sale where Dogwood paid $100,000 for the colt. In total he won five and placed in five of his 15 starts for Dogwood and earned $375,075.
