After undergoing extensive knee surgery Sept. 5 at Scone Veterinary Clinic, Grand Lodge is recovering well, according to a report by the Australian Associated Press."The surgery could not of gone any better," said Woodlands Stud bloodstock manager Trevor Lobb. "He's up and eating, but we won't really know for the next few days how his longer term future looks. "Things are certainly looking a lot better than they did on Thursday."Grand Lodge fractured his knee in a paddock accident at Woodlands Thursday, Sept. 4.
