Storm Creek to Rancho San Miguel in California

Storm Creek, one of the top freshman sires of 2000, will stand in 2004 for a fee of $7,500 at Tom Clark's Rancho San Miguel near San Miguel, Calif., where he will be owned by Rancho San Miguel and the Taylor family's Taylor Made Farm.

The 10-year-old stallion stood the past several seasons at Taylor Made near Nicholasville, Ky., for a fee as high as $25,000.

"I'm delighted at the opportunity to relocate Storm Creek to California," Clark said. "Storm Creek started his stud career with a grade I winner and 11 stakes horses in his first crop (2-year-olds of 2000). His first Kentucky crop of yearlings was extraordinarily well received, with two yearlings selling for $500,000 and $350,000 at the recent Keeneland September sale."

Ten-year-old Storm Creek (Storm Cat--Shawnee Creek, by Mr. Prospector), who has sired six stakes winners, is not represented by a single stakes winner this year. His 2003 runners have earned $1.7 million.
