Indiana B.C. Oaks Draws Awesome Humor

Winstar Farm's Awesome Humor leads a well-matched field of 12 entered for Friday's $300,000 Indiana Breeders' Cup Oaks (gr. III) at Hoosier Park.

Perfect in four starts at 2, including the Spinaway (gr. I) at Saratoga, Awesome Humor, has won just once this year for trainer Elliott Walden. She also placed in the Delaware Oaks (gr. III), the Alabama (gr. I) and the Turfway Breeders' Cup (gr. III). A career earner of $619,000, she's listed at 5-2 on the morning line with Robby Albarado aboard.

Youcan'takeme, the pride of Washington, brings a four-race winning streak into the Indiana Oaks. The Grant Forster trainee, 7-2, won the $100,000 Washington Breeders' Cup Oaks in her last start.

Earlier this summer, Sue's Good News (4-1) won the Singapore Plate (gr. III) at Arlington Park, her fifth win in six starts this year. She was seventh in the Pucker Up (gr. III) at Arlington in her last start for trainer Steve Hobby.

Grade III winner Golden Marlin (5-1) comes into the Oaks off an allowance win of more than nine lengths at Turfway Park, and draws the services of red-hot jockey Rafael Bejarano for trainer Greg Foley.

California bred Double Scoop (6-1) is seeking her first career stakes triumph, but has career earnings of more than $118,000 with three wins and two seconds in seven starts this year. Rusty Arnold trains Double Scoop, who is ridden by Pat Day.
