Tam's Terms Looks for Redemption in Knickerbocker

Trainer Lawrence Murray and Sondra Bender's Tam's Terms will be looking for a little redemption when he takes the gate for Saturday's $150,000 Knickerbocker Handicap (gr. IIT) at Belmont Park.

In his last start in New York, the 5-year-old gelding beat only one horse in the Aug. 23 Fourstardave Handicap (gr. II) at Saratoga after a troubled trip down the backstretch.

"He just didn't have a good go of it up there," Murray said. "I think he got really flustered sandwiched and stuck in between horses. He's much better than that."

Tam's Terms will be looking for his first win in graded stakes company in the Knickerbocker, but he must contend with the likes of Mansell Stables' Quest Star. Quest Star finished second in the Bowling Green (gr. IIT) at Belmont Park this summer, just missing by a half-length to Whitmore's Conn. The 4-year-old colt was game in defeat at the Spa when second in the Fourstardave.

The field for Saturday's $150,000 Knickerbocker (gr. IIT) includes:
