Blanco, director of publicity at Calder Race Course, and Bruno Zalubil, secretary-treasurer of the TPA and web site administrator at NYRA, will serve the remaining year of their two-year terms. The TPA is an organization of about 200 Thoroughbred racing publicists and marketing professionals at racetracks throughout North America who share the goal of promoting the sport of Thoroughbred racing.
The Turf Publicists of America (TPA) elected its slate of officers for 2004 following its annual held during the Racing Industry Symposium at the University of Arizona.President Michele Blanco, who is mid-way through her two-year term of office, announced that Mandy Minger, Susie Sourwine, and Eric Wing, who all served as vice presidents in 2003, were re-elected for another term. G.D. Hieronymus will join them as a vice president and serve his first term as an officer.Minger, vice president of marketing for Daily Racing Form, will represent the East region; Sourwine, director of marketing at Emerald Downs, was re-elected in the West region; and Wing, senior director of media relations for the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, will be vice president-at-large. Hieronymus, director of broadcast services at Keeneland Association, will be the vice president of the Central region.
