'Pincay Drive' Dedication Rescheduled for Dec. 20

Laffit Pincay Jr., honored at Hollywood Park on Gold Cup Day, will return Dec. 20 when a portion of 90th Street is re-named Pincay Drive in honor of horse racing's all-time win leader. The ceremony was rescheduled from Friday.

Pincay, who retired April 29 due to injuries suffered in a March 1 spill at Santa Anita Park, finished his career with a world record 9,530 victories.

During his official retirement party on July 13, Pincay received a Commendation from the State of California, a letter from President George W. Bush, and was thrilled to hear an announcement from the City of Inglewood regarding the re-naming of 90th Street.

Pincay will unveil the sign during a public ceremony Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the 90th Street entrance to Hollywood Park.
