Grade II Winner Duckhorn to Xanthus in Pennsylvania

Multiple graded stakes winners Duckhorn has arrived for stallion duty at Barbara Rickline's Xanthus Farms near Gettysburg, Pa. A 7-year-old son of Not For Love out of the Deputed Testamony mare Ten's Testamony, Duckhorn will stand for $2,500, with special consideration to Pennsylvania mares.

Duckhorn, who made all but his first start for Coolmore associate Michael Tabor and trainer Patrick Byrne, scored his big win in the 2001 Hawthorne Gold Cup Handicap (gr. II) over Lido Palace and Guided Tour. Duckhorn captured another graded stakes, the Ben Ali Handicap (gr. III) at Keeneland, plus two stakes at Laurel--the Harrison E. Johnson Memorial Handicap and the Northern Dancer Stakes. He was graded stakes-placed twice.

Duckhorn, who retired with eight wins from 23 starts and earnings of $747,812, will stand as the property of Richard Imbert's Windmill Manor Farm
