Capsized to Special T in California

Graded stakes winner Capsized has been purchased by B n D Chase Thoroughbreds from Gold Spur Stable and Stonerside Stables for stallion duty at Rick Taylor's Special T Thoroughbreds near Temecula, Calif.

An 8-year-old son of Summer Squall, Capsized won seven of 25 starts and earned $489,593 for trainer Lisa Lewis. He captured the Fourstardave Handicap (gr. III) and Steinlen Handicap on grass, and placed in five stakes, four of which were graded. In the 2001 Nassau Handicap on turf at Belmont Park, he ran second to subsequent champion Aldebaran.

Capsized's multiple graded stakes-winning dam, Overturned (by Wavering Monarch), is a half-sister to stakes winners Squall Valley and In Full View, who is the granddam of millionaire Came Home.
