The Society of International Thoroughbred Auctioneers will discontinue the separation of Canadian earnings in sales' catalogs until The Jockey Club implements Canadian conversions in 2005.
Keeneland, Fasig-Tipton, and Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. have all agreed to the change. "It is important that the information in the sales catalogues and trade publications be consistent," said Geoffrey Russell, chairman of SITA and director of sales at Keeneland.
SITA began separating Canadian dollars in 2003. The Jockey Club late last year announced plans to begin converting Canadian dollar earnings in 2005.
