On the racing side, the facility includes three racing strips -- dirt and turf courses for Thoroughbreds and a Standardbred dirt track. There are stalls for 600 horses, 80 apartments for horsemen, and a roofed grandstand that seats 1,000 spectators. There are also 45 pastures and training tracks on the grounds.Additional entertainment amenities include a stage area for live entertainment, gaming area and betting café, a bar, restaurant, and multi-purpose open-air venue.
Magna Racino, a $91-million racetrack and entertainment facility in Ebreichsdorp, Austria, opened for business Sunday with a live harness racing program.There are plans for 50 days of live Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing to be conducted twice a week from April through October. Magna Racino is owned by Magna Entertainment Corp., whose chairman, Frank Stronach, is of Austrian descent. It is the most expensive sports complex ever built in Austria.
