Unforgettable Max Heads Jim McKay Line-Up

(from Pimlico release)
New York invader Unforgettable Max heads a field of eight in Saturday's $150,000 Jim McKay Breeders' Cup Handicap for 3-year-olds and up at 1 1/8 mile at Pimlico.

Unforgettable Max has placed twice against graded stakes company. He missed by a nose in the Discovery Handicap (gr. III) at Aqueduct and rallied to finish second in February's General George (gr. II) at Laurel Park. Jockey Rick Wilson has the call for his new trainer Bruce Levine. The 4-year-old colt worked a bullet at Belmont Park on Monday in advance of this start.

One-two finishers Jorgie Stover and Your Bluffing return for a rematch after their duel to the wire in Laurel's Harrison Johnson Handicap. Jorgie Stover beat Your Bluffing by a nose that afternoon, but gained only moderate respect from Pimlico's oddsmaker off that victory. Jorgie Stover (Kaymarie Kreidel) is 10-1 on the morning line. Your Bluffing (Mario Pino) is 3-1.

Florida shipper The Lady's Groom is next at 4-1. The chestnut colt has won six of 19 starts and is trained by Michael Gorham. No rider is named.

Owner Michael Gill has named to start in the McKay and his entry is listed at 9-2. Last Intention (Abel Castellano) and My Request (Jeremy Rose) will wear the Gill blue and white. They finished 3rd and 4th respectively, behind Jorgie Stover and Your Bluffing, in the Harrison Johnson last month.

Completing the lineup are My Kind Of Town (Enrique Jurado, 8-1) and Irish Colony (Eric Rodriguez, 20-1).

"I think there's a lot of talent in this race, but for $150,000 it should be a competitive race," said John Alecci, who trains both Jorgie Stover and My Kind Of Town. "Those two shippers have faced some top horses. Both of my horses like Pimlico. The mile and an eighth might be a bit too much for My Kind Of Town to overcome. Jorgie is honest and always seems to run his race. We were fortunate to beat Your Bluffing in the last race. Of the Maryland horses, I think he's the horse to beat because he is young and improving."
