Trainer Brian Lynch is giving up his public stable at Hollywood Park to work as an assistant in the powerful Bobby Frankel stable at Saratoga, Lynch said on Friday."I'm leaving Monday," said Lynch, who will work with 2-year-olds at the historic upstate New York track. "Bobby has got the strongest crop of 2-year-olds he has ever had, about 25, and I'm going to try and help him win the (Kentucky) Derby next year."Lynch, 40, said he will probably spend winters at Fair Grounds in New Orleans, where Frankel plans to send a division next year.
"I just dispersed 25 horses here," said the affable Australian-born Lynch, who has spent 10 years on the Southern California circuit. He is enjoying an exceptional year with 13 winners from 46 starters, a .28 winning percentage. Frankel, who is headquartered at Hollywood Park, led the nation in earnings last year with a record $19,143,289.
