Servis Family Weekend Could Start in Fashion Stakes

Trainer Jason Servis could start the weekend off with a bang for the Servis family when he sends out Chocolate Brown in the June 4 Fashion Stakes at Belmont Park.

Jason Servis is the older brother of trainer John Servis, who will saddle Smarty Jones in the June 5 Belmont Stakes (gr. I) with the chance to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed scored the racing trifecta in 1978.

Chocolate Brown, a daughter of Lione Hearted out of the Holy Bull mare Twin Lights, broke her maiden by 5 1/2 lengths at Aqueduct on April 8, going 4 1/2 furlongs in :53.

Jason Servis conditions the New Jersey homebred for Dennis Drazin.

Also providing strong challenge will be the D. Wayne Lukas-trained Passageway. The daughter of Gold Fever broke her maiden by a length going 4 1/2 furlongs on April 25 at Churchill Downs. Passageway races in the Overbrook Farm silks.
