Globalize to Victory Rose in California
Multiple graded stakes winner Globalize has been moved from Rick Taylor's Special T Thoroughbreds to Ellen Jackson's Victory Rose Thoroughbreds in Vacaville, Calif., where he will stand the 2004 breeding season for a fee of $5,000.The move is not due to lack of popularity for the 6-year-old stallion, as he was booked to over 75 mares for the 2003 season, but due to fertility issues that became apparent in April, according to Jackson. Internationally renowned fertility expert Dr. Irwin Liu of U.C. Davis spent the last six weeks studying Globalize. The research compiled by collecting the stallion at various intervals indicates that with careful management, Globalize will successfully be able to settle a book of 30-40 mares.A son of Summer Squall out of the stakes-placed Fit to Fight mare Sugar Hill Chick, Globalize earned five of 13 starts and earned $623,650.
