Ouija Board, winner of the Irish Oaks Sunday to become the 10th filly to win both the English and Irish versions of the middle-distance classics, is being considered for a trip to Texas in October for the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr.IT)
The Lone Star Park trip is one of the ambitious plans for the Lord Derby-owned Ouija Board, who is likely to next compete in the Yorkshire Oaks. The Juddmonte International against older fillies and mares is another possibilty. Both races are at York next month.
"We haven't ruled out the Breeders' Cup," trainer Ed Dunlop told At The Races
Wednesday. "There's an option of the fillies and mares' race later on, the Champion Stakes, the Arc and all those sort of races.
"There is a supplementary fee for the Breeders' Cup. It's in Texas, so we are going to find out a bit more."
He said the daughter of Cape Cross came of The Curragh test in good order.
"It was a lot of pressure to see her win again and she's a joy - a dual Oaks winner," the Newmarket-based conditioner said. "It doesn't come much better than that."
