Carol Pyle Jones Fry Dead, Mother of Walnut Green Bloodstock Owners

Carol Pyle Jones Fry, the mother of Walnut Green Bloodstock owners Russell and Richie Jones, died July 25 in a motor vehicle accident near her home in West Marlborough Township, located in Chester County Pennsylvania. She was 93.

She was an acclaimed artist who received many awards including the Gold Medal of Honor from the American Watercolor Society.

She was elected a member of the National Academy of Design where her work is in its permanent collection. She also was elected as a member of the Dolphin Society. Her paintings hang in the permanent collection of the University of Delaware, the Wister Institute, the Delaware Art Museum, and many private collections.
She served for many years on the Board of the West Chester University Foundation and was a member of the London Grove Meeting of The Society of Friends.

Besides her sons, she is survived by eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruthellen Pyle Davis; and a brother, G. Martin Pyle.

Internment will be private. A memorial service will be held July 29th at 3:30 p.m. at London Grove Friends Meeting.
