First Winners for Chester House, War Chant

Grade I winner War Chant was represented by his first winner when daughter Speciale won the Aug. 1 Prix Yacowlef at Deauville in France in her initial start. Bred by Brookdale Thoroughbreds, the filly scored by two lengths in 1:10.5 for six furlongs for Mrs. Alec Head. Her dam, Spenderella, is a half-sister to grade I winner Aube Indienne.
Winner of the 2000 Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT), War Chant (Danzig--Hollywood Wildcat, by Kris S.) stands at Robert N. Clay's Three Chimneys Farm near Midway, Ky. His 2004 fee was $60,000.

Deceased millionaire Chester House was represented by his first winner Aug. 1 when daughter Shakespearesister won at Ellis Park at first asking. A homebred for Frank and Mattie Justice's Dell Ridge Farm, Shakespearesister scored by 6 3/4 lengths in 1:36.65 in the mile turf race. Her dam, Lady Shirl, was a grade I winner.

Chester House (Mr. Prospector--Toussaud, by El Gran Senor) stood at Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms near Lexington prior to his death last year.
