Mr. Jester and Quinton's Gold Rush Top Oklahoma Derby Field

A dozen 3-year-old colts will take the gate for Sunday's $150,000 Oklahoma Derby (gr. III), going 1 1/8-miles at Remington Park. The field is led by grade II winner Quinton's Gold Rush and grade III winner Mr. Jester.

Quinton's Gold Rush, trained by Steve Asmussen for the Sanan family's Padua Stables and Jay Manoogian, enters the race off a two-length allowance win Nov. 2 at Churchill Downs after finishing ninth in the Oct. 2 Indiana Derby (gr. III) at Hoosier Park.

After winning the Coolmore Lexington Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland, the son of Wild Rush finished a disappointing 18th in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and was off until his October start at Hoosier Park.

Monte Clifton Berry gets mount aboard Quinton's Gold Rush.

Mr. Jester, trained by Steve Wren for Karen Biggs, enters the Oklahoma Derby off a second-place effort in an Oct. 24 allowance race at Louisiana Downs. The son of Silver Deputy would be looking for his first stakes score of the year after winning the Kentucky Cup Juvenile (gr. III) last year and finishing second in the Risen Star Stakes at Fair Grounds to begin the year.

Gerard Melancon has the mount aboard Mr. Jester.
