Dynever Entered for Sunday at Calder

Four-year-old Dynever, last seen finishing a disappointing eighth behind Horse of the Year candidate Ghostzapper in the Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), faces eight rivals Sunday in the $40,000 Mel's Hope overnight stakes at Calder Race Course.

Trained by Christophe Clement for owners Peter Karches and Catherine Wills, Dynever will try to get back on track with jockey Eibar Coa aboard in the 1 1/16 miles test, a prep for the $100,000 Fred Hooper Handicap (gr. III) on Dec. 18.

A homebred son of Dynaformer, Dynever has won nearly $1.4 million and finished a good third behind Pleasantly Perfect in the Breeders' Cup Classic at Santa Anita in 2003. He's looking for his first victory since the San Bernardino Handicap (gr. III) at Santa Anita in early April.

Trainer Milt Wolfson sends out Sez Who Racing's 5-year-old The Judge Sez Who and Stride Rite Racing's 4-year-old Super Frolic, both accomplished stakes winners themselves.
