Setting the pace was Our Exploit, ridden by jockey Gary Boulanger. That filly appeared to have the race won until she began to shorten stride in deep stretch and R Obsession stormed to the lead on the inside. Two-and-a-half lengths behind Our Exploit, it was Marina de Chavon nipping Capeside Lady by a head for third.(Chart, Equibase)
