Millionaire Redattore to Harris Farms in California

Redattore, a millionaire and grade I California winner, will stand the 2005 breeding season at John C. Harris' Harris Farms near Coalinga, Calif. Retired from racing this spring with earnings of $1,799,883, Redattore stood the past Southern Hemisphere season in his native Brazil.

Redattore, a 9-year-old son of Roi Normand from the female family of recently deceased major stallion Private Account, won 15 of 32 starts racing in Brazil, Argentina, and North America. Trained in Southern California by Richard Mandella for Dr. Luis Taunay after establishing himself as a group I winner in Brazil, Redattore captured seven California graded stakes, including the Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile Stakes (gr. IT) and Eddie Read Handicap (gr. IT). He also was a grade II winner on dirt, taking the San Antonio Handicap.

Redattore, who was produced from the Deputy Minister mare Political Intrigue, will stand as the property of Harris Farms and Taunay for a fee of $4,000 live foal.
