The bay filly is out of the winning Boys Nite Out mare Fivegirlsinarow, who is a full sister to stakes winner Nite Screen and a half-sister to added-money winner Hollie's Chief (by Joanie's Chief). Fasig-Tipton closed out its selling year on a high note, with across-the-board increases at its Texas mixed auction Sunday at Lone Star Park. Compared to a year ago, the sale's gross revenue rose 51.8% to $825,300. Meanwhile, the average price for the 180 horses sold advanced 24.8% to $4,585, and the median price grew 23.8% to $2,600.The buy-back rate for the sale, which is sponsored by the Texas Thoroughbred Association, increased from 21.3% last year to 24.7% this year.A Texas-bed yearling filly by Valid Expectations brought the auction's top price of $34,000. Danny Shifflett, agent, purchased her from Oak Tree Ranch, agent for the yearling's breeder, Frannie Stewart. Shifflett is the manager of William S. Farish's Lane's End Texas, where Valid Expectations stands.
