Turf Express Stud in Texas Offers Breeding Incentive Program

Turf Express Stud, Inc. announced an incentive program by which Texas mare owners can double their breeder awards they receive from the Texas Thoroughbred Association.

Titled "Pure Texas," the program matches breeders' TTA awards to owners who breed their qualifying mares to one of Turf Express' two stallions, New Trieste and Aggressive Chief, during the 2005 breeding season and board their mares at Turf Express Stud near Collinsville, Texas.

"As Texas Thoroughbred breeders ourselves, we know how difficult it is to make money as a breeder in Texas, and we want to do all we can to help," said Turf Express CEO Mark Cornett.

Six-year-old New Trieste (A.P. Indy--Lovlier Linda, by Vigors) is a full brother to grade II winner Old Trieste and half-brother to three stakes winners. This is his second year at stud.

Aggressive Chief, a graded stakes-placed 15-year-old son of Chief's Crown out of the Graustark mare Agretta, has sired four stakes-placed runners.
