The California Horse Racing Board is accepting applications through Feb. 8 for a stewards examination to develop a list of qualified candidates from which future stewards can be selected.It is anticipated that the written and qualification interview examinations will be conducted during March and April. The last time the CHRB offered the stewards examination was in 1997.Applicants cannot have a conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude or a felony.
