From CDI releaseTim Scott joined Churchill Downs Inc. Feb. 8 as the company's senior vice president of sales and marketing. Scott most recently served as senior vice president of marketing for AMF Bowling Worldwide, a Richmond, Va.-based bowling manufacturer and owner of bowling centers. He also served as chief operating officer for the company's International Bowling Centers division overseeing five countries."CDI and the industry are fortunate to gain the services of such an accomplished and innovative marketer in Tim Scott," Andy Skehan, CDI's chief operating officer, said in a release. "His success in building great brands and developing successful products makes him an ideal candidate to help guide our company's growth and our sport's resurgence. His international experience will also be invaluable as we pursue a global presence."At CDI, Scott will be responsible for company-wide strategic marketing initiatives and oversee marketing budgets, branding and advertising initiatives, market research, and product development. Scott will report to Skehan.Scott has worked in similar marketing and advertising positions at Long John Silver's Restaurants, the ad agency Young and Rubicam, and Pepsico.
