The developer of Horsepower®, a real-time, progressive, pari-mutuel virtual horse racing system, Hart regularly sponsored both Standardbred and Thoroughbred industry events, and through his company was an active associate member of the Association of Racing Commissioners International.
Kim N. Hart, president and CEO of Horsepower® Broadcasting Network International Ltd., died recently at his home near Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. A past director and vice president of the Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association of British Columbia, Hart perennially ranked as a leading owner at Hastings Park. His trade mark 'red heart silks' also were often visible at neighboring California and Washington tracks as well. Kim stood Wandering, the top stallion in British Columbia.
