Badge of Silver, a 5-year-old son of Silver Deputy, will be making his first start since winning the Jan. 8 Hal's Hope Stakes (gr. III) at Gulfstream Park. Jerry Bailey gets the mount aboard Badge of Silver, who will carry 118 pounds.The 120-pound highweight is the Pletcher-trained Pollard's Vision, who most recently finished second in the Feb. 12 Mineshaft Handicap (gr. III) at Fair Grounds. Wandrin Boy, who beat Pollard's Vision by a length in the Mineshaft, is also expected to start. Others expected start in the New Orleans Handicap include multiple stakes winner Alumni Hall, Colonial Colony, Second of June, Freefourinternet, Musique Toujours, Outta Here, and possibly Formal Attire.
Dogwood Stables' Limehouse has been pointed toward the March 12 New Orleans Handicap (gr. II), going 1 1/8 miles at Fair Grounds, where he will face a host of talented older runners, including Badge of Silver, Pollard's Vision, and Wanderin Boy.Limehouse, trained by Todd Pletcher, worked five furlongs in 1:01 March 6 at Palm Meadows training center in Florida. Jockey Ramon Dominguez has the mount aboard Limehouse, who will carry 115 pounds.In his last start Limehouse, a 4-year-old son of Grand Slam, finished fourth in the Ocala Breeders' Sales Classic Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
