The University of Arizona Symposium on Racing has been retooled this year, with a more compact schedule and a change in the days on which the event is held. The university's Race Track Industry Program announced March 25 that this year's symposium will be held Monday, Dec. 5, through Thursday, Dec. 8. A welcome reception is set for the evening of Dec. 5, with panel and breakout sessions Dec. 6-8.Traditionally, symposium panels have been held on a Wednesday through Friday schedule. A few years back, a special gaming conference was added on Tuesday. Now, the racing and gaming panels will be combined into the three days (Tuesday through Thursday). That leaves Friday open for travel.
