Kentucky Equine Management Internship Program, The Race For Education, and Operation Read will hold the second no-limit Horsemen's Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament, presented by EQUUS/Standardbred Station and ThePokerPyramid.com April 16, at Sal's Italian Chop House in Lexington, Ky.The fee is $500 per seat. Players will compete for cash prizes, including $5,000 for first prize, $3,000 for second and $2,000 for third. Prizes will be awarded through 10th place. The evening starts at 7 p.m. with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Play begins at 8 p.m. and will run approximately two and a half hours. A limited number of tickets for spectators will be available at $50 per person. Members of the University of Kentucky chapter of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity will be volunteering as dealers for the evening. Other sponsors of the tournament are Blood-Horse Publications, Thoroughbred Times, and Premier Casino Events. A practice session will be held April 7 at the Carnegie Center at 251 West Second St. in Lexington. Anyone who prepays to play in the tournament can attend the session for free.
